CSSA Corporate Social Responsibility Award 2019!

Jade Ping April 4, 2019 CSSA Bulletins

This award was championed and judged by the British Cleaning Council (BCC) and awarded to the company, team or individual that has done the most to further CSR within the UK cleaning sector during the past 12 months. Our thanks to Simon Hollingbery, Company Secretary BCC, who judged this Award.

Congratulations Robertson for winning this award category! And to Bespoke Cleaning and Chequers who both received Highly Commended. Simon identified the services that Robertson offered as part of its contract with housing association, Home Group, commenting “We were impressed by the commitment of the winners to the Estates they were working on and they have reaped the rewards of their investments in the communal areas this leads to a pride in the environment not only from the residents but also the staff. It is a proven fact that this reduces anti-social behaviour in these areas.”

Robertson Facilities Management said “When we secured the Home Group contract for Neighbourhood Cleaning Services, we wanted to do more than what was contractually required of us: we wanted to be a fundamental component of community development. Robertson supported a number of initiatives on site at Knott Flats in North Shields, including the expansion of the community garden, which was transformed into a welcoming space for tenants to enjoy.”

Adrian Mole, Managing Director of Robertson Facilities Management, said: “I am delighted that our work with Home Group has been recognised. The relationship started like many other cleaning services contracts, but quickly evolved into Robertson engaging with the local community and creating a thriving neighbourhood. Our dedicated team make sure that our engagement with all stakeholders creates real benefits and added value in addition to the core cleaning and maintenance contracts.”
